Best-Luther Fire Department

The Best Luther Fire Department is an all volunteer fire and EMS department located in Rensselaer County, serving approximately 700 homes within 14 square miles. We respond to an average of around 135 calls per year, which ranges from structure fires, EMS emergencies, car accidents, fire alarm activations, mutual aid responses and other emergencies.

 

Currently, the Best Luther Fire Department has 9 active apparatus, which includes 2 Engines, (3-1 & 3-6) a Rescue Truck (Rescue 3), a Tanker (Tanker 3), an ATV (ATV-3), a Utility Truck (U-3), and 3 Chief vehicles. 

We have approximately 40 volunteer Active Members whose roles and jobs vary within our department from Interior and Exterior Firefighters, to EMTs, to Drivers and Pump Operators, to Scene Support, to Fire Police, and so much more! We have many opportunities for anyone looking to help out their community! Join Today!
